My research group at the University of North Texas strives to understand material properties to tailor emerging materials for renewable energy production. The main experimental technique in our lab is Terahertz (THz) spectroscopy.
My group started in January 2023. So we are young and eager.
On this homepage you will find information on our research, the development of our group, and the current classes taught by group members.
If you are interested in conducting research in our group, please do not hesitate to contact me via email. We currently have funding and projects for graduate students, master, and bachelor students. The research is particularly focused on laser spectroscopy and material sciences; however, no prior knowledge in these fields is mandatory. Undergraduates are expected to join our group in their Junior, Sophmore, or Freshman year to give them enough time to conduct exciting research.
We are also happy and eager to work with the wider materials community. THz radiation is a contact free technique eliminating the need for tedious electrode fabrication and even allowing my group to study powder samples. If you are wondering if THz spectroscopy can help you to understand materials that you are currently studying, please feel free to contact me.
